UPSC – CSAT New Syllabus




Union Public Service Commission has made a change in the pattern of the civil service entrance exams. UPSC has announced on Monday, 21st February a new syllabus for Preliminary Exam (PT)

Now UPSC has replaced the optional subject with an aptitude test.

The new syllabus, for the first time will be started for the exam 2011, It will consists two papers:

(i) General Studies (GS)

Paper I Marks 200 (Two hrs.)
(ii) Aptitude Test (AT)

Paper II Marks 200 (Two hrs.)

General Studies includes:- Current affairs, Indian history, geography, political, economical and social development,

Bio-diversity and climate change, common view on environmental ecology.

Subject specialization and general science will not be required.

Aptitude Test:- It will include, comprehension, basic numeracy ,English language comprehension skill of class 10th standard, logical reasoning, decision making and problem solving .
