Parliament of India Exam Pattern for Jr. Parliamentary Interpreter, Executive / Junior Clerk, Translator and other posts 2011




Candidates who have applied against the post of Junior Parliamentary Interpreter, Executive / Legislative / Committee / Protocol Assistant, Security Assistant, Junior Clerk, Translator, Junior Proof Reader and Staff Car Driver and preparing for the written test may see the Detailed Exam Patterns in the following paragraphs.

There will be Several Stages of the tests i.e. (PT) / Oration Test, Written Test, Skill Test, Interview. Written Test will be objective type consisting of different Numbers of Questions for respective posts. More details can be seen below:

Topic Questions Marks Duration
1. Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Hindi / English)
Assess Fluency, Language Content, Pronunciations, Accent, Style Candidates will be given 7 topics (English / Hindi 150 03 Minutes for each Topic
2. Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Telugu)
Assess Fluency, Language Content, Pronunciations, Accent, Style Candidates will be given 7 topics (English / Hindi 100 03 Minutes for each topic
3. Junior Parliamentary Reporter (Hindi), Duration: 2.00 Hours.
Total 180 Questions will be based on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Hindi Language
4. Jr. Parliamentary Reporter (English) / Executive / Legislative / Committee / Protocol Assistant / Security Assistant / Junior Clerk. Duration: 2 Hours.
Total 180 Questions will be based on General Intelligence, General Awareness and English
5. Translator / Jr. Proof Reader (Duration: 2.30 Hours)
Total 200 Questions will be based on Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Hindi Language
6. Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (Duration: 1.30 Hours)
Total 100 questions will be based on General Awareness, General Intelligence, General English, General Hindi, Elementary Maths, Driving Techniques & Motor Car Mechanisms


Note: Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for Skill Test and Interview. Those Candidates who have applied against the post Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (English / Hindi) and Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Telugu) will have to appear for Oration Test only. There are no negative marking in this Preliminary Test. Final selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of performance in Written Test, Oration Test, Skill Test and Interview.
