Orissa Public Service Commission (OPSC) is going to do special recruitment to the post of Assistant Surgeon in Junior Class-I of Orissa Medical Service Cadre during the year 2011-12 for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates under Health and Family Welfare Department.
So, applications in the prescribed format are being invited from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates only for filling up 353 vacant posts of Assistant Surgeon in above said department in the Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100/-. Interested candidates may send their applications up to 12/12/2011 till 05:00 pm. Details regarding in the recruitment are mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria to apply for the post:
Nationality: Citizens of India.
i) Candidates should have either MBBS Degree or its equivalent qualification or be a holder of a registrable Medical qualification from a recognized Medical College in United Kingdom.
ii) Candidates who have 4 1/2 years duration of MBBS Degree they must have completed Houseman ship for minimum 01 year and those candidates have 5 years duration of MBBS Degree they must have completed Houseman ship for minimum 06 months up to 12/12/2011.
iii) Candidates who have completed their MBBS Course from a foreign University they have to need passed the screening test which conducted by the National Board of Examination prescribed by the Medical Council of India advertisement no. MCI-203(9) Regn.2001 dated 13th February 2002.
iv) Candidates should be registered under the Orissa Medical Registration Act, 1961.
v) Candidates should be able to read, write and speak Oriya fluently.
vi) Candidates should passed minimum 01 examination in Oriya Language.
Age limit (as on 01/08/2011): between 21 years and 37 years. (Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to the PH candidates by 05 years).
Process to apply: Candidates are required to send their applications in prescribed format along with true copies of the relevant certificates which should be attested by either Gazetted Officer or Self certified to the Office of the Orissa Public Service Commission, 19, Dr. P.K. Parija Road, Cuttak-753001 by either registered post or speed post or courier service on or before last date of receiving applications. There are not need to pay any application fees by the candidates for applying.
