What is NERIST?

Aspirants, who want to grow their career in the field of Science & Technology, may join the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology. It is an institute of repute since many years and serving a platform to many candidates for developing their career prospects. The Education Body conducts an examination every year known as NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) , they offers three types of courses , i.e.,

NEE I – for the Certificate courses

NEE II – for the Diploma Courses

NEE III – for the Degree courses
Eligibility Criteria

All three NEE exams have different eligibility condition:

NEE I:

  • The applicant should have the Matriculation degree or equivalent, the appearing candidate may also apply.
  • The upper age limit is 19 years, for SC/ ST candidates the age relaxation will be according to the government norms.

NEE II:

Vocational program

  • The upper age limit is 23 for the General candidates, 26 for the Female & OBC candidate and 28 for the SC/ST candidates.
  • The candidates who want to get admission in the Technological stream must have cleared class 12 board examination having vocational subjects in which the applicant wants an admission.
  • The applicant who wants to join the forestry stream must have passed class 12 examinations and having the certificate of NERIST examination.
Technology Stream & Forestry stream
  • The upper age limit is 23 for the General candidates , 26 yrs for the female & OBC candidates and 28 for the SC/CT candidates.
  • Applicants must have cleared class 12 board examination having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, separately for admission in the Technology stream.
  • Applicants must have cleared Physics, Chemistry and Biology, separately in their class 12 board examination.

NEE III:

  • The applicant must have cleared 3 years diploma course from any recognized university.
  • The upper age limit is 40 yrs for the general candidates, 45 years for the ST/SC candidates, and 43 yrs for the OBC and female candidates.
  • Should have secured minimum 60% marks in the final examination.

The structure of the NEE differs according to the type of the examination.

NEE I: The Question paper is of MCQ format with objective type

How to Prepare?

Certain tips to crack NEE:

  • Prepare a daily routine.
  • Manage your time well.
  • Do lots of practice, which is the best thing for clearing any examination.
  • Lots of Sample Papers, Practice Papers, Workbooks, Yearly Solved Papers, and Question Banks are available in the market; make sure to solve those Test Papers.
  • Try to solve the Test papers within a time limit.
  • Lastly be confident and the exam will be yours.
