Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEFinvites applications from Indian citizen for appointment at the posts of Judicial Member and Expert Member. Applicants that have fulfill the  eligibility criteria for the posts, may apply.

1. Name of Position: – Judicial Member

Number of Post: – 07 Posts

Emolument: – Rs.80000/-

Educational Qualification: – Candidates must be either a Judge of the supreme court of India or a Judge of the High Court.

2. Name of Position: – Expert Member

Number of Post: – 07 Posts

Emolument: – Rs.80000/-

Educational Qualification: – Candidates should have degree in post graduate (PG) with sciences in Physical Science or life science with Ph.D / Master of Engineering / Master of Technology.  They should have also fifteen years experience in relevant field together with 05 years practical experience in the field of environment and forests.

  1. Eligibility condition withregards to post of Judicial member in Green tribunal is absurd. experienced lawyers are more effective than Judges to deal with Environment and forest matters Thanking You, Adv.S.Prasanth President, Kerala High Court Advocates Co-Operative society

It,s very strange to put a condition regarding the appointment of Judicial members only judges of Supreme Court and High courts are eligible is against to the advocates who are eligible for the post of Judicial member in all other tribunals, hence reconsider the above said condition.
