Q. What is MAT (Management Aptitude Test)?

A. MAT is an abbreviation of Management Aptitude Test which is conducted on all India Examination. This is an Entrance Examination for the admission to the Master Degree Programs in various B – Schools (excluding IIMs)  that are affiliated under All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).  MAT is organized by Centre of Management Services (CMS) by All India Management Association (AIMA). The exam is conducted four times a year. The score card will be valid up to one year from the date of commencement of the results. There are many B Schools in India that accepts MAT score card. Every year the number of students appearing for the examination is increasing.

Q. What are the Eligibility Criteria of MAT?

A. The Eligibility Conditions of MAT are as follows –

1. Applicants should be a Graduate in any discipline

2. Final year students can also apply.

3. Final year students who are waiting for their results are also liable

4. An applicant can take the exam as many times as he wants. There is no restriction in the number of times appearing the exam.

Leading Colleges and Universities take students who have secured more than 700 marks in MAT. Average institutions have a target that ranges between 500 & 600.
