Kakolat is situated in Nawada district in Bihar in India. It is situated near Govindpur police station in Nawada district. It is about 33 kms away from the city of Nawada. It is famous for a spectacular waterfall. Here is a hill named Kakolat hill. Water falls from this hill.

It is said that during ‘Treta yug‘ a king was cursed by a Hindu rishi and took the shape of a python. When five brothers, Pandav visited here during their 14 years exile this Python king got rid of curse. Then it became a proclamation that the person, who take bath in this waterfall would be free from any curse to become snake in this life or next any. Due to this mythology people also come here take a bath in Kakolat fall.
