JOINT ENTERANCE EXAMINATION 2011 (JEE-2011)

 Date of Examination – 10th April 2011

1st Paper – 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 A.M.

2nd paper – 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.  

Notification for admission in undergraduate programmes in Indian Institutes (IIT) of Technology: –

Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) are the most prestigious and prominent Institutions in the education of Engineering and Technology. Every year an entrance examination is conducted for admission in IIT institutions (IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT, Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIT Indore, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Patna, IIT Mandi, IIT Roorki, IIT Rajasthan, IIT Ropar, IT BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad) through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). This year also an entrance examination will be conducted as previous years. For this examination notification has been published as JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2011(JEE-2011).

For admission in IIT institutions online or offline applications are invited .details are as follow:-


Name of Examination: – JEE -2011 (for Admission in IIT institutions)

Eligibility:-

1. Birth day:-

For UR and OBC candidates must have their birth date on   year 01 Oct 1986 or after.          
For SC/ST/PWD must have their birth date on 01st Oct 1981 or after.

2. Qualification:-
Candidates are informed that year of passing 10+2 or same equivalent examination on 01st Oct 2009 or after for admission in  JEE 2011 examination.

3. Minimum percentage of obtained marks in 10+2 examination.
For UR and OBC candidates must secure total percentage of minimum marks 60% in 10+2 or same equivalent examination and for SC/ST/PWD candidates must secure minimum   55% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Application fee and process of applying:-

Offline application fee for SC/ST/PWD candidate is Rs. 500/- and for GEN/OBC candidate is Rs. 1000/-. Offline applicants have to buy application form, prospectus, list of examination places, IIT syllabus for all IIT institute at any Bank branches listed by IIT. After filling up application form send to appropriate address.

Eligible candidates can apply for JEE – 2011 entrance examination by both online and offline modes. Online Application fee for JEE 2011 SC/ST/PWD (WOMEN) is Rs.450/- and for OBC./GEN  is  Rs.900/- .Online applicants will download these papers from official websites of IIT which is given below:-

Examination process: –
  
        For admission in under graduate programs in above institute, two question papers will be asked. Each question paper will have time period of 3 hours. In both question paper there will be three subjects’ physics, chemistry and mathematics and the question will be of objective type. Candidates will have provision of writing answer in any one of two languages English and Hindi.
