Indian Coast Guard is needed of some young Persons for working as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer. Details are being given below:

Asst Commandant (General duty) 01 July 86 to 30 Jun 90 Male Bachelor degree with 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognized by the central/state Govt./UGC with Maths & Physics as subject upto 12th std of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
Asst Commandant (General Duty-Pilot/ Navigator) 01 Jul 84 to 30 Jun 92 Male B.Sc with Math and Physics and 55% marks in aggregate.
Asst Commandant (Commercial Pilot License) for (Short Service Appointment) as Helicopters and Fixed Wing Pilots for a period of 08 years , which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable up to 14 years 01 July 84 to 30 Jun 92 Male 

Female (Unmarried)

12th class pass or equivalent with 60% marks and should possess current/valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on the date of selection.
Asst Commandant General Duty (Women) for (Short Service Appointment) for a period of 08 years which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable up to 14 years. 01 July 86 to 30 Jun 90 Female (unmarried) Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognized by the Central/State Govt./UGC With Maths & Physics as subject upto 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
Asst Commandant Technical (Mechanical &Aeronautical) Male 01 Jul 81 to 30 Jun 90 Degree with 60% marks in aggregate in navel Architecture/Mechanical/Marine/Design/production/Aeronautical Engineering.


  • Essential Qualification:

(a) The candidate failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery test (BABT) or suspended from flying training at Air force Academy cannot appear for pilot branch however may apply for navigator (Observer)

(b) Those candidates who applied in Two venues please choose any one venue. If found appearing in two venues will be disqualified from both.

(c) The upper age relaxation is as per as rules of Govt. of India.

  • Indian coast Guard Rank and pay structure:
    1. Assistant Commandant: – Rs. 15600 – 39100 with GP Rs. 5400/-.
    2. Deputy Commandant: – Rs. 15600 – 39100 with GP Rs. 6600/-.
    3. Commandant (Junior Grade): – Rs. 15600 – 39100 with GP Rs. 7600/-.
    4. Commandant: – Rs. 37400 – 67000 with GP Rs. 8700/-.
    5. Deputy Inspector General: – Rs. 37400 – 67000 with GP Rs. 8900/-.
    6. Inspector General: – Rs. 37400 – 67000 with GP Rs. 10000/-.
  • Enclosures: – Candidates must appear at the venue with all original qualification, age proof, Caste certificate, Character certificate, Identity Proof, Ten recent colour passport size photos, Original Current and valid Commercial Pilot License (approved by DGCA).
