Indian Air Force is going to organize a Air Force Common Admission Test 01/2012 for the admission in various courses, after qualifying which applicants will be appointed as Commissioned Officer in Flying , Technical and Ground Duty branches. In this concern, Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for appearing in Test for admission. Applicants who will hold its requisite educational qualification and fulfill terms and condition may apply in prescribed format that was published on official website of Air Force. Application will be submitted on or before 13 January 2012 along with all requisite qualification certificates . Remaining details of this Admission Test are explained in below some paragraphs.

Educational Qualification: – Applicants should have bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized university having secured at least 60% marks in aggregate and qualified Intermediate with Mathematics and Physics having at least 60% marks from recognized board OR BE/B.Tech. from any recognized university having at least 60% marks.
Physical Standard – Height – 162.5 Cm ,Weight – As per Height ,Length of leg – 99 Cm – 120 Cm,Thigh length – Maximum 64 Cm ,Sitting Height – 81.5 Cm – 96 Cm
Age limit – Applicants’ age should be between 19 years and 23 years as on 1st January 2013.
2. Name of Course – Short Service Commission
Branch Name – Technical

Stipend – Rs. 50, 716 per month
Educational Qualification –
i. Aeronautical Engineer ( Electronics ) ( AE(L)) : – Candidates must have completed four years degree in engineering from any recognized university having secured at least 60% marks or cleared section A and B examination of Associate Member ship of Institution of Engineers etc.
ii. Aeronautical Engineer ( Mechanical) ( AE(M)): – Four years engineering degree from any recognized universality having at least 60% marks OR cleared Section A and B of Institute of Engineers / Member ship of Aeronautic Society of India.
Physical Standard – Height – 157.5 Cm, Weight – As per Height, other same to above
Age limit – Applicants’ age should not be above than 28 years and less than 19 years as on 1st January 2013
3. Course Name – Short Service Commission
Branch Name – Ground Duty
No. of vacancies– 159
Remuneration – Rs. 48, 216/- per month
Educational Qualification: – i. Administration and Logistics – Bachelor degree in any subject having obtained at least 60% marks or Master degree in any discipline having obtained at least 50% marks from any recognized university.
ii. Accounts – Bachelor of Commerce with at least 60% marks or Master of Commerce with at least 50% marks from recognized university
iii. Meteorology – Master degree with minimum 50% marks in any one subject of mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Weather Science / Agriculture Weather Science / etc along with Bachelor degree with Physics and Mathematics with at least 55% marks from recognized university
iv. Education – Master degree in any discipline having secured at least 50% marks from any recognized university
Physical Standard : – Height – 157.5 Cm , Weight – Proportional to height, others same as above
Age limit as on 1st January 2013
i. Graduate – Age should be between 20 and 23 years
ii. Post Graduate / LLB ( five years course ) – Age should be between 20 and 25 years
iii. Graduate / LLB ( Three years course ) – between 20 and 26 years
iv. M.Ed. / Ph.D. / CA / ICWDI – 20 years to 27 years
Selection Procedure: – Applicants whose applications will be received within due date will called for appearing in Air Force Common Admission Test. Test will be conducted on 26 February 2011. Test will contains multiple choice questions from verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and aptitude for which two hours time will be given. Applicants as per obtained marks in test will be called for further stages and who will qualify all stages will be got admission.

1. Prescribed format of application can be downloaded from official website of Indian Air force or from below given web link ” Recruitment details”. Application should be furnished in own handwriting in capital letter with black pen in which all details related to candidates should be filled.
2. Application must be enclosed within a superscribed envelope with word ” Application for Air Force Common Admission Test: 26 February 2012″ and should be accompanied by one self addressed envelope with Rs. 27/- postage stamp, One self addressed envelope with Rs. 5/- postage stamps and two unattested recent colour photographs.
