APPSC Town Planning and Building Overseers Eligibility Criteria and Exam Pattern 2012

An Advertisement for the Post of Planning and Building Overseers has been published by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). For this online applications are being made from 07/03/2012 to 07/04/2012. Only those candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria may apply for the post of Town Planning and Building Overseers which has been mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria of Town Planning and Building Overseers in APPSC:

Age Limit: Only those candidates are eligible for this post who have not crossed 36 years and below 18 years as on 01/07/2011.

Age Relaxations: Candidates with Temporary Service of 6 months in State Census Department and Ex-Service men will be given relaxation in age upto 3 years and 5 years for those candidates who belong to SC / ST / BC Category and who are the Govt. Employee of Andhra Pradesh State

Qualifications: General Education Qualifications. Licentiate in Sanitary Engineering / Civil Engineering from recognized Institute or they should have passed the Govt. Exam in Architecture or they should have any equivalent qualifications

Note: The degree obtained through Distant Education / Open Universities Mode, must be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. Other wise it will not be accepted

Exam Pattern (Written Test):

Eligible Candidates whose application is received successfully by Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will be called for written test which will be objective type of 300 Marks consisting of 300 Multiple Choice Questions. There will be Two Papers; Paper-1 and Paper-2 each paper carry 150 Marks and 150 Questions. Paper-I will be based on the General Studies (SSC Standard) and Paper-II will be on the Subject of Intermediate vocational standard. Total Time duration of 150 Minutes have been allotted for each Paper in this written test. Candidates may see the above details in table format given below.
