 The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has advertise a recruitment notification for filling up the vacancy of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. This information came through the Notification No. – IMU/HQ/EST/Recruit/Faculty/2012 dated 14th September 2012. Job Details of Associate Professor and Other Vacancy in IMU

01. Assistant Professor

Discipline and No. of Vacancy: – Management, Social Sciences, Public Policy – 12, Law – 02, Ocean Engineering – 05, Pure Sciences – 05 and General Engineering – 11.

Total No. of Vacancy: – 35

Academic Qualification: – Post Graduate Degree in related discipline with at least 55% marks from any recognized Institution or University.

Salary: – Rs. 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- per month.

Age Limit: – Not more than 40 years.

02. Associate Professor

Discipline and No. of Vacancy: - Management, Social Sciences, Public Policy – 06, Law – 02, Ocean Engineering – 03, Pure Sciences – 03 and General Engineering – 05.

Total No. of Vacancy: – 19

Academic Qualification: – Doctorate Degree with good academic record and Master Degree with at least 55% marks.

Age Limit: – Not more than 45 years.

Salary: – Rs. 37400-67000/- with Additional Grade Pay Rs. 9000/- per month.

03. Professor

Discipline and No. of Vacancy: - Management, Social Sciences, Public Policy – 03, Law – 01, Ocean Engineering – 02, Pure Sciences – 02 and General Engineering – 03.

Total No. of Vacancy: – 11

Educational Qualification: – Doctorate Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institution or University.

Salary: – Rs. 37400-67000/- with Additional Grade Pay Rs. 10000/- per month.

Maximum Age: – 50 years.

Age Relaxation: – There are 03 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates and 05 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.
