Recruitment of Operator cum Technician and Attendant cum Technician in SAIL : Apply online

An announcement has been made by the Steel Authority of India Limited ( SAIL ) regarding to recruitment of Operator cum Technician ( Trainee ) and Attendant cum Technician ( Trainee ) in its steel plant Durgapur. There are One Hundred Nineteen positions of Operator / Technician and Three positions of Attendant / Technician are vacant. Due to which, it has invited applications through online mode from the result oriented applicants between 11.06.2012 and 11.07.2012 from below given web link ” Apply online”. Recruitment details for the job of Operator cum Technician and Attendant cum Technician in SAIL : -

1. Operator cum technician ( Boiler Operation )

No. of Vacancies – 06

Maximum age – 30 years as on 01.03.2012

Pay Scale – Rs. 9160 – 13150 /- per month

Educational qualification – Diploma in Engineering with First class Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency from government recognized institution and 1 year experience.

2. Operator cum Technician ( Trainee )

No. of Vacancies – 113

Maximum age limit – 28 years as on 01.03.2012

Pay Scale – Rs. 9160 – 13150 /- per month. During training period Rs. 8250 /- for 1st year and Rs. 9350 for 2nd year per month will be paid.

Educational qualification – Three years full time diploma in engineering in discipline of Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics from Govt. recognized institute.

3. Attendant cum Technician ( Trainee ) – Cable jointing

No. of Vacancies – 03

Maximum age limit – 28 years as on 01.03.2012.

Pay Scale – Rs. 8630 – 12080 /- per month. During training period Rs. 6600 /- for 1st year and Rs. 7700 /- for 2nd year per month will be given.

Educational qualification – Candidates having Matriculation pass certificate with ITI ( Electrical ) from Govt. recognized institute and cable jointing license from state licensing board for cables upto 33 KV and one year experience can apply for Attendant cum Technician.

Physical Standard – For all posts

Minimum Height – 155 cm ( For males ) and 143 cm ( For females )

Minimum Weight – 45 kg ( for males ) and 35 kg ( for females )

Minimum chest – 75 cm and 79 cm after expansion ( for males ) and 70 cm and 73 cm after expansion ( for females ).

Selection procedure – Written test and Interview

A. Operator cum Technician and Operator cum Technician ( Trainee ) – Rs. 250 /- ( Rs. 50 /- SC/ST/PWD )

B. Attendant cum Technician ( Trainee ) – Rs. 150 ( Rs. 50 /- for SC / ST / PWD )

Mode of payment – Application fee will be paid in Account No. Power Jyoti Current Ac No. 32226462661 through Challan issued from State Bank of India in favour of ” Steel Authority of India – DSP”, payable at SBI, Durgapur Main Branch , Durgapur.
