Public Service Commission West Bengal (PSCWB) invites applications to fill up the vacant posts of Programme Officer, Sub-Divisional Information and Cultural Officer, Agricultural Marketing Officer, Sub-Editor, Legal Metrology Inspector, Motor Vehicles Inspector, Assistant District Library Officer and Librarian from those Indian candidates who are meeting with eligibility criteria given further. This information came through the Notification No. 05/2012. 01. Programme Officer
Department: – Information and Cultural Affairs Department, West Bengal
No. of Vacancies: – 02
Educational Qualification: – Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institution or University with five years experience in handling and representation of Programme relating to Music or Drama or Dance or Painting and Sculpture along with Diploma in Computer Application from any reputed Institution.
Applicants Age Limitation: – Not more than 35 years as on 01st January 2012.
Salary: – Rs. 9000-40500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4700/- per month.
02. Sub-Divisional Information and Cultural Officer
Department: – Information and Cultural Affairs Department, West Bengal
No. of Vacancies: – 08
Academic Qualification: – Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication or Public Relations Discipline from any recognized Institution or University and Ability to address gathering in Bengali.
Applicants Age Limitation: – Applicants age should not be more than 32 years as on 01st January 2012.
Salary: – Rs. 9000-40500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4700/- per month.
03. Agricultural Marketing Officer (Jute Grading)
Department: – Junior Agricultural Service (Marketing), West Bengal

Essential Qualification: – Applicants should have completed B.Sc. with Agriculture Discipline or B.Sc. with Diploma in Jute Technology from any reputed Institution or University with two years experience in Jute Grading works under an organization.

04. SUB-Editor For Bengali and English Language

Desirable Qualification: – Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Computer Operation with Knowledge in Page Maker or Corel Draw or Free hand and Photoshop and Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication or Public Relations.
Salary: – Rs. 9000-40500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4400/- per month.
Age Limitation: – Maximum 35 years.
05. Inspector of Legal Metrology
Department: – Consumer Affairs Department, West Bengal General Service

Academic Qualification: – Bachelor Degree in Science with Physics as one of the Subjects or Technology or Engineering from any recognized Institution or University.
Salary: – Rs. 9000-40500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4400/- per month.

06. Librarian
Department: – Department of Mass Education Extension and Library Services

Educational Qualification: – Post Graduate Degree in Library Science from any recognized Institution or University with two years experience in Library work in a Public or an Institutional library of repute along with Audio-Visual methods.
Salary: – Rs. 7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4100/- per month.
Maximum Age: – Not more than 35 years.
07. Assistant District Library Officer
Department: – Mass Education Extensioin and Library Services

Qualification: – Post Graduate Degree in Library Science from any recognized Institution or University with one year experience in Administration, Management, Promotion and Development of Library Services or System in a responsible capacity or teaching in Library Science in a recognized Institution.
Salary: – Rs. 7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4100/- per month.
Maximum Age: – Not more than 37 years.
08. Motor Vehicles Inspector
Department: – Transport Deprtment, West Bengal
Total No. of Vacancies: – 18
Academic Qualification: -Bachelor Degree from any recognized Institution along with knowledge of Driving and Motor Mechanism.
Physical Eligibility: -
- Height – 170 Cms (160 Cms for Hillmen and Tribal Candidates)
- Chest – 86 Cms (81 Cms for Hillmen and Tribal Candidates)
Salary: – Rs. 7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3900/- per month.
Maximum Age: – Not more than 32 years.
