WBPSC Exam Pattern for WB Judicial Service Exam 2012

West Bengal PSC has invited applications from eligible candidates for West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2012. Examination consists of Preliminary Test, Final Examination and Personality Test. Those candidates who have applied against West Bengal Judicial Service Exam 2012 may go through the exam pattern which have been described in the following paragraphs

Selection Process: Selection of the candidates for judicial service 2011 will be done on the basis of Preliminary Test, Final Examination and Personality Test

Preliminary Test: The test will be held in Darjeeling and Kolkata in the month of May 2012. It will be of 200 Marks consisting of 200 multiple choice Questions based on English Composition, Reasoning, Current Affairs, GK and Law. Total time duration of 2 ½ Hours has been fixed.

Preliminary Exam: Duration: 2 ½ Hours

Syllabus of Test Marks
1. English Composition 30
2. GK, Reasoning, Current Affairs 40
3. Indian Constitution 20
4. Law of Contracts and Torts 20
5. Laws of Evidence 20
6. Civil Procedure Codes 20
7. Criminal Procedure Code & Indian Penal Code 20
8. Personal Law 10
9. Law of Limitation 20

Final Examination: There will be 8 compulsory Papers in this test and 3 Papers on Optional subjects. Each Paper of this Test carries 100 Marks

Personality Test: It will be of 100 Marks. Only those candidates are eligible for appearing in the Personality Test who have qualified in Preliminary Test and Final Test with higher rank
