Military Engineer Service (MES) Southern Command has notified for the recruitment of Supervisor / Barrack Stores, StoreKeeper Grade-II, Peon, Civilian Motor Driver, Chowkidar, Safaiwala, Mate. For filling up 1997 various posts, Military Engineer Service (MES) is invites applications from eligible candidates in respective pay scale. Candidates having suitable qualification for the post in MES may apply in prescribed application format and send their application to MES on or before 20/01/2012. 1. Supervisor / Barrack Store – 34 – Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP – Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science from a recognized University with diploma in Material Management
2. Store Keeper Grade-II – 04 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 GP – Class 10th Passed or equivalent qualifications from a recognized board
3. Peon – 25 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – Class 10th Passed or equivalent qualifications from a recognized board
4. Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade) – 46 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 GP – Matriculation or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institute with a valid civil driving license
5. Chowkidar – 40 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – Class 10th Passed or any equivalent qualifications from a recognized board. Candidates must be physically fit and conversant with duties of chowkidar
6. Chowkidar (Khansama) – 01 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 – Class 10th Passed with good physique. They should be conversant with duties of chowkidar
7. Safaiwala – 08 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – Class 10th Passed or equivalent qualifications from a recognized board
8. Mate (Vehicle Mechanic) – 52 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP
9. Mate (Electrician) – 470 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in Electrician Trade from a recognized Institute / University
10. Mate (Refrigerator Mechanic) – 262 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in Air Conditioning Mechanic and Refrigeration Trade from a recognized Institute / University
11. Mate (Carpenter) – 121 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – Candidates should be passed in ITI Examination in trade of Carpenter from a recognized Institute / University or the institute recognized by NCVT
12. Mate (Mason) – 119 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in Mason in Building Constructor trade from a recognized University / Institute or institute recognized by NCVT
13. Mate (Fitter General Mechanic) – 440 – Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in Pump Operator cum Mechanic Trades from a recognized University
14. Mate (Pipe Fitter / Plumber) – 192 – Rs.5000 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma from a recognized Institute in Mason trades
15. Mate (Upholster) – 15 – Rs.5000 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in Upholstery Trade from a recognized Institute / University
16. Mate (Painter) – 69 – Rs.5000 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – Candidates should have ITI Diploma in Painter (General) Trade from a recognized Institute
17. Mate Others (Welder and Lift Operator, Black Smith, Hammer Man, Cane Man) – 99 – Rs.5000 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP – ITI Diploma in relevant trades from a recognized Institute
Age Limit and Relaxations:
Age of the candidates for these posts should be between 18 and 27 years. Relaxation in upper age limit for PH / EXS / Sports Man will be provided as per Central Govt. Rule. Age will be calculated as on last date for receipt of application
Selection Procedure:
Selection of the candidates for various posts in Military Engineer Service (MES) will be made on the basis of written test. Those candidates who qualify in written test will be called for Interview and Practical / Typing. Written Test will be of 3 hours
Probation Period:
Those candidates who are selected on any one of the post will be on the probation period of 2 years which may be extended later on the decision of recruiting authority.

Candidates having required qualification for the post may apply in prescribed format with copies of supporting documents, two self addressed envelop of 28*12 affixed postage stamp of Rs.27, Admit Card for written test affixed self attested passport size photographs to MES on or before 20/01/2012 till 5.00 PM
