SSC Recruitment for Group ‘B’ & Group ‘C’ Posts Dec 2011
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from Indian citizens for the recruitment of Assistant Welfare Administrator, Senior Scientific Assistant, Junior Scientific Assistant, Junior Technical Assistant, Sepoy under Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ Vacancies. Eligible candidates having all required to qualifications for the suitable post may apply in prescribed format and send their applications to the Office of the Regional Director of SSC WR on or before 16/12/2011 till 5.00 PM. 01 Assistant Welfare Administrator
• Category No. WR-I
• Vacancy: 02 (UR – 01, OBC – 01)
• Department: Office of the Welfare & Cess Commissioner, LWO, Nagpur
• Age: Not more than 25 years for UR and 28 years for OBC
• Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from a recognized University
02. Senior Scientific Assistant-III
• Category: WR-II
• Vacancy: 19 (UR – 10, OBC – 08, ST – 01)
• Department: Director of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, NH-IV Faridabad Haryana
• Age: 18 to 25 years. 28 years for OBC and 30 years for ST
• Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP
• Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from a recognized University
03. Junior Scientific Assistant:
• Category: WR-III
• Vacancy: 10 (UR – 07, OBC – 02, SC – 01)
• Department: Army HQ
• Age: Not More than 30 years for UR, 35 years for SC and 33 years for OBC
• Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Botany, Chemistry and Zoology. Candidates should have experience of 2 years in Food Analysis / Inspection
04. Junior Technical Assistant:
• Category: WR-IV
• Vacancy: 05 (UR – 02, SC – 02, OBC – 01)
• Department: Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Mumbai
• Age: Not more than 25 years for UR, 30 years for SC and 28 years for OBC
• Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP
• Qualification: Master of Commerce or Graduate degree in Commerce / Economics with Law Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualifications
05. Sepoy:
• Category: WR-V
• Vacancy: 25 (UR – 15, SC – 03, ST – 02, OBC – 05)
• Department: NCB MHA, New Delhi
• Age: 18 to 23 years. Not more than 26 years for OBC, 28 years for SC / ST
• Pay Scale: Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP
• Qualification: Class 10th Passed (Matriculation)

Physical Efficiency Test:
Male:
• Run – 5 km in 24 Minutes
• Long Jump – 11 Feet
• High Jump – 3 ½ Feet
Female:
• Run – 1.6 km in 8.3 Minutes
• Long Jump – 2.7 Meters (9 Feet)
• High Jump – 3 Feet
Exam Fees:
Candidate are required to pay examination fees of Rs.50. Female and those candidates who belong to SC / ST / EXS / PH Category are not required to pay application fees
Mode of Payment:
The Above Examination fees should be paid in the form of Central Recruitment Fees Stamps (CRFS) which can be had from the counter of all the post offices. Payment of fees in the form of Bank Draft, IPO, Pay Order and Cash will not be accepted
Selection Procedure:
Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of Interview / Personality Test / Skill Test. Commission will hold a Screening Test if it is felt necessary before above Tests.
How to apply:
1. Duly filled application in all respect with CRFS, a Latest Passport size photographs pasted on the application, 2 Self address envelop of 12*25 cms affixed stamp of Rs.5, one self addressed post card affixed postage stamp of Rs.6, Copy of Caste certificate, Attested copies of Class 10th Certificate and Mark sheets, should be sent in a super scribed envelop with words “Application for the post of…” to the “Office of the Regional Director, State Selection Commission, (Western Region), 1st Floor, Pratishtha Bhavan, 101, MK Road, Mumbai – 400020” on or before 16/12/2011.
2. Last date for far-flung areas candidates is 23/12/2011
