Gun and Shell Factory, Cossipore Kolkata, Govt. of India has issued a recruitment notification for the post of Junior Hindi Translator, Store Keeper, Lower Division Clerk, Fireman on respective emoluments per months. Eligible candidates for the following posts may apply online from 17/12/2011 to 13/12/2011. Other related details of this recruitment can be seen in the following paragraphs
01. Junior Hindi Translator
• Vacancy: 02 (UR – 01, OBC – 01)
• Scale of Pay: Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 GP (PB-2)
• Age: It should not be more than 30 years and less than 18 years
• Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in English / Hindi with Hindi / English as compulsory subject
02. Store Keeper
• Vacancy: 10 (UR- 05, SC – 04, OBC – 01, PH – 01)
• Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 GP (PB-1)
• Age: 18 to 27 years as on Last date for receipt of application
• Qualifications: Higher Secondary or any equivalent qualifications from a recognized University / Board.
• Desirable: Candidates must have the knowledge of computer with ‘O’ Level Certificate as per (DOEACC) Department of Electronics Accreditation Committee Certificate
03. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
• Vacancy: 02 (SC – 01, OBC – 01)
• Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 GP
• Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years as on Last date
• Qualifications: Higher Secondary from a recognized University or Board with Typing Skills on computer with speed of 30 words per minutes in Hindi and 35 words per minutes in English
04. Fireman
• Vacancy: 09 (UR – 04, SC – 03, OBC – 02)
• Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1900 (PB-1)
• Age: Candidates should not be older than 25 years and younger than 18 years as on last date. Departmental candidates will be relaxed in age upto 35 years
• Qualifications: Class 10th Passed with Basis Course of six months on Elementary fire fighting from State Govt. or Govt. of India Recognized Institute
• Physical Standard: Only those candidates may apply for the post of Fireman, who are bodily fit and fulfill the following: Height: 165 cms, Chest: 81.5 to 85 cms, Weight: not less than 50 Kilograms
Age Relaxations:
Candidates who belong to SC Category will be relaxed in age upto 5 years, OBC by 3 years, PH by 10 years and Ex-Serviceman will be relaxed in age as per govt. rules
Application Fees
Candidates who are going to apply for the post of Jr. Hindi Translator are required to pay application fees of Rs.100 and for rest of the posts should be paid of Rs.50

1. Eligible candidates may apply online from 17/12/2011 to 31/12/2011 through the website www.gsf.gov.in
2. Candidate are required to pay examination fees to the following banks; United Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Axis Bank. At the time of depositing application fees, Candidates are required to fill up the following details; Bank Name, Branch Name, Account Number, City, Name of the account, IFSC Code etc.
3. After successfully submission of examination fees, Candidates are required to visit www.gsf.gov.in, Go to “Jobs” Page under “Advertisement” Tab
4. Fill up the application fees and other relevant details and submit
