Applications on prescribed form have been invited by Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research ( PGIMER) from eligible candidates for recruitment on the posts of Senior Residents, Junior / Senior Demonstrator , Demonstrator and Senior Medical Officer. Appointment of applicants on the posts will done on contract basis for a period of three years which will be extended each year according to performance of applicants and appointment will be made after qualifying interview. Recruitment details
1. Senior Residents
No. of Posts – 108 ( UR – 51, SC – 09, ST – 12 and OBC – 36)
Pay Scale – Rs. 15600 – 39100 plus Rs. 6600/- Grade Pay
Educational Qualification – Applicants should have Post Graduate degree like M.D. in Transfusion Medicine / Pathology from the university registered by Indian Medical Council registered and the Central / State Medical Council.
2. Jr. / Sr. Demonstrator
No. of Posts – 07 ( UR – 4, ST – 01 and OBC – 02)
Pay Scale – 15600 – 39100 having Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-
Educational Qualification -
i. Senior Demonstrator – Applicants should have M.Sc in concerned discipline from university recognized by Indian Medical Council and Ph.D in the subject Concerned / allied subject.
ii. Junior Demonstrator – Applicants should have M.Sc in Concerned subject from university recognized by Indian Medical Council.
3. Demonstrator
No. of Vacancy – 01 (UR)
Pay Scale – Rs. 15600 – 39100 having Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
Educational Qualification – Applicants should have a two years diploma in Radiation Medicine after MBBS from a recognized institute / University.
4. Senior Medical Officer
No. of Posts – 05 ( UR – 02, SC – 01, ST – 01 and OBC – 01)
Pay Scale – Rs. 15600 to Rs. 39100 and Rs. 6600/- Grade Pay.
Educational Qualification – Applicants should have degree of MD / MS in Medicine / Surgery from university registered by Indian Medical Council.
Age limit – Applicants’ maximum age limit is 33 years but it will be 38 years for SC/ST candidates and 36 years for OBC Candidates.
Application Fee – Applicants can obtain application form on payment of Rs 525/- ( Rs. 275/- for SC/ST) from the establishment branch – I, ( Kairon Block, 3rd Floor, PGIMER, Chandigarh personally / on written request accompanied by a self addressed stamped (Rs. 10/-) Stamps OR Can download application form from the official website of PGIMER on payment of Rs. 500/- ( Rs. 500/- for SC/ST). Fee will be paid in form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of ” Director, PGIMER” payable at Chandigarh and drawn from nationalized bank.

Applications, downloaded in prescribed format from official website or below given web link ” Download Application form” , should be filed by requisite information and accompanied with photocopies of supporting documents of Educational qualification, age, etc. Having filed applications should be sent to Director, PGIMER, Chandidgarh – 160012 before last date of submission of application form.
