BCECE
BCECE is an initialism of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. This entrance examination is conducted for the admission to the different professional programmes in various Medical Colleges, Engineering Colleges, and Agricultural Colleges. The colleges are listed under the Government of Bihar. Selected candidates in the entrance examination will get a seat in the various professional courses. There is a huge competition and students from all the corners try to crack this entrance examination.

Who can apply?
Medical Course
- Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- Candidates with minimum age of 17 years are only eligible
- Physical fitness will be tested for the selected candidates
Engineering Course
- Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Bio Technology / Computer Science / Biology as optional are eligible for Engineering and Technology (Four Year Course)
- Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one of Mathematics / Bio Technology / Computer Science / Biology as optional subject are eligible for Pharmacy (Four Year Course)
- Final year students are also eligible
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- Physical fitness test will be conducted for the selected candidates
- There is no age limit for admission to the Engineering / Pharmacy courses
Agricultural Course
- Candidates with minimum age of 17 years are only eligible
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen
- Candidates who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics are eligible
Q. What is the Exam Pattern of BCECE?
A: The Exam Pattern of BCECE goes like this –
Engineering
- Time limit will be three hours
- Medium of instruction will be English
- The question paper includes questions on three different subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Time allotted for each test is one hour
- The question paper will be of objective type.
Medical / Agriculture
- Total time allotted for the exam will be three hours
- English will be the medium of instruction
- Question paper will have questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Q. How to prepare for BCECE?
A: Preparation for an entrance examination has to be done very seriously. Candidates have to prepare in such a way that they should attain their goals. A proper study plan has to be made by the candidates. Study plan should include everything. Candidates must make a proper time table which should include distribution of equal amount of time to all the concerned subjects. Time table should be made in tune with the daily needs. There are students who prepares by themselves and there are some who take help of coaching centers and do their preparation. Students must collect their study material. Selection of proper study material is very important. Students can take help from their seniors, teachers and internet. After going through all the chapters’ revision is essential. Candidates have to pay attention to their weak areas. Students must not leave a single chapter as one question in the paper make a difference. Candidates can take mock tests conducted by the various coaching centers. This will evaluate their time management and also will portray the weak areas. Students must solve previous years question paper because this will make them comfortable with the pattern of the examination. Students are advised not to be over confident and try to appear for the exam with patience and with confident.
