Applications are invited for the post of Sessions and Additional Judge District in the state of Haryana

Age: Candidates must not be less than 35 (thirty five) years old. Candidates must not have attained the age of 45 (forty five) years as on 01.01.2011. For SC/ST/BC maximum age is relaxable by 5 years.
Qualifications: Candidates should have passed 10^th or any other which is equivalent to it (Hindi should be as one of the compulsory subjects)

Experience: Candidates / Applicants must have been duly enrolled as an Advocate. Candidates must have practiced for at least seven years as on 05.05.2011
Examination Fee: For General Category Rs.1000 (Rs.500 For SC/ST/BC) Fees should be paid in the form of Demand Drafts in favor of the “Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, payable at Chandigarh.

Selection: (i) Written Examination will be held of 750 marks and Viva Voce of 250 marks. (ii) Candidates will have to secure at least 50% ( 45% for the SC/BC ) in aggregate and 40 % marks in each paper. (iii) Only securing 50% marks ( 45% for SC/ST)in the written examination will not confer a right on a candidate to be called for the Viva Voce . (iv)Selection will be based on Merit.

Enclosures: (i) Candidates should submit xerox copies of certificates. (ii)3 (three) recent passport size(one of which to be pasted on top right hand corner of the application form and other two to be tagged with the application form. (iii) 2 character certificates from two respectable persons should be submitted (one of them must be issued by President / Secretary of the Bar Association where the applicant is practicing).
Postal Address: The Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh. Application should be submitted within an envelope super scribed as “Application for the post of Additional District Judge in the state of Haryana”.
How to Apply: Applications should be sent in the prescribed application form. For the Advocates enrolled with the District / Sub-Divisional Bar Associations of Punjab, Haryana and U.T., Chandigarh will the application forms in the office of District and Sessions Judges concerned. The others will send / submit the application forms to the above mentioned Postal Address.
Last Date of Submission: 30.04.2011 for the Advocates enrolled with the District / Sub-Divisional Bar Associations of Punjab, Haryana and U.T., Chandigarh. 05.05.2011 for others till 5.00p.m.
Note: (i) Candidate must be a citizen of India. (ii) The SC candidates will be paid Traveling Allowance if they are called for interview. (iii)Those candidates who are dismissed by the Central and any State Government or their Boards or their Corporation, will not be eligible to apply for this post. (iv) Attested copies of certificates will be verified at the time of Viva Voce (v) Candidates’ candidature will be cancelled if they do not fulfill eligibility conditions. (v) The Written Examination and Viva Voce shall be conducted in English medium (except the language paper).
