RECRUITMENT OF 1296 CLERKS AND 578 STENOGRAPHERS IN THE SUBORDINATE COURTS IN BIHAR 2011

Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for recruitment of 1296 clerks and 578 Stenographers by District Judge Patna.

Details are as follows: -

1. Name of Post: Clerk

Number of Vacancies: 1296

Pay Scale: -

` 5200/- ` 20200/-, Grade Pay: ` 1900

Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years (For General Female, BC and OBC candidate maximum age is relaxed by 3 years and for SC, ST 5 years and for physically handicapped 10 years.

Educational Qualification:

1. B.A., B.Sc. or B.Com. or Equivalent from a recognized University.

2. Proficiency in computer will be an additional qualification and necessary to get weightage of 10 marks through a suitable test.

2. Name of Post: Stenographers

Number of Vacancies: 578

Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years (For General Female, BC and OBC candidate maximum age is relaxed by 3 years and for SC, ST 5 years and for physically handicapped 10 years.

Pay Scale: – ` 5200/- ` 20200/-, Grade Pay: ` 2400

Educational Qualification:

1. B.A., B.Sc. or B.Com. or Equivalent from a recognized University.

2. A certificate of Stenography of an Institute recognized by State or Central Government. Minimum speed of stenography in Hindi should be 60 wpm and in English 80 wpm and at the rate of 45 words per minute in typing.

3. Proficiency in computer will be an additional qualification and necessary to get weightage of 10 marks through a suitable test.

Application Fee: Rs. 200/- through Bank Draft or Postal Order in favour of District and Session Judge District and Session Judge, Patna – cum – CONVENOR, Co-ordination Committee Payable at Patna

HOW TO APPLY?

Desired and eligible candidates should send their application form in prescribed format of Application and admit card after filling up it and affixing recent passport size photographs attach it with two stamped and one unstamped envelope of 11*25 cm size and photo copy of mark sheet and certificates of educational qualification (Caste certificate by DM or SDO if deserves reservation) send it to:

Last date for submission of application form: – 09 March 2011

Note: A candidate can apply for only one post.

Selection Procedure:

Written Test containing will be held for selection of candidates. Candidates, Qualified in written test, will be able to appear in Viva voce. If the number of candidates is too large in respect to number of vacancy, then a Preliminary Test containing only objective questions will be conducted.  In the final written Test questions containing total 90 marks will be asked. There will be 4 papers in the written examination –

1. English Language – In this paper questions related to Letter writing, Essay, Précis, Comprehension and vocabulary of 20 marks.

2. Hindi Language - – In this paper questions related to Letter writing, Essay, Précis, Comprehension and vocabulary of 20 marks.

3. Mathematics of 25 marks of Matriculation standard.

4. General Knowledge and current affairs of 25 marks.

10 marks will be given for Personality Test or Interview.

For the post of Stenographer candidates will have bring their own type writing machine.

After final selection a panel will be prepared by the co ordination committee in order of merit for each post separately for the Judgeship in Bihar. This panel will be valid for two years from the date of preparation. In future for 2 years forthcoming vacancies will also be filled up with this panel if needed.
