OPPERTUNITY FOR 10 + 2 PASSED WITH MATHS AND PHYSICS AND MATRICULATES AS ENROLLED PERSONNEL – 02/2011 BATCH

Applications are invited for the post of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch) in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union. Details are being given below:-

1 Navik (General Duty) 10 + 2 with Maths and Physics Rs.5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2000 Born between 01st Aug 1989 to 31st July 1993.(Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.)
2 Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward) Matriculate Rs.5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay Rs.1900 Born between 01st Oct 1989 to 30 Sep 1993.(Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.)

How to Apply application form :

Application can be downloaded from the Indian Coast Guard website www.indiancoastguard.nic.in.

1). The application is to be submitted on plain paper in the form (type written/ hand written in Hindi/English) and is to be sent to the address of Zonal recruitment centre.

2). Attested copies of certificates as proof of age, educational qualifications including statement of marks, caste certificate (SC, ST, OBC as per Govt. of India format), NCC, Sports and a self-addressed envelop of size 22*10 cm are to be attached with the application. All enclosures must be attached with the application. All enclosures must be printed with the application.

3). Character certificate (issued six months prior to exam/interview).

4). Candidates are required to submit one additional recent colored passport size photograph along with the application form.

5). Application will be received only through ORDINARY POST.

Selection Procedure:

1). Short-listing criteria will be based on higher education and percentage of marks.

2). Call up letters for eligible short listed candidates will be posted, indicating date time and place for recruitment tests, which are scheduled during Mar/Apr 11.

3). All original certificates and mark sheets are to be produced at the time of written test.

4). Results of the written test will be announced on the same day.

5). Those who qualify written test will undergo PFT, interview and recruitment Medical Examination (Preliminary), which may take 2-3 days.

6). The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all respects depending upon the available vacancies. The Zone wise select list of candidates will be displayed in Indian Coast Guard Website.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

All those who pass the written test will be subjected to the PFT.

a). PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 6 min 30 sec.

b). 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak).

c). 10 Push ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Last date o f submission of Application form:           21st February 2011

For candidates from North East region(Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh,Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim) and Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep & Kavarthi Islands                                                                                       28 February 2011
