Territorial Army officer recruitment – 2011
JOIN AS AN OFFICER IN TERRITORIAL ARMY
The person, who is looking forward to serve the county, has a golden opportunity to join the Territorial Army. The Territorial Army invites gainfully employed young men for this noble cause. It is based on the concept of enabling able motivated young men to spend time in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary profession. So the desired candidate can serve the nation in two ways: – as a civilian and as a soldier.
Eligibility norm for the above posts:-
1) Candidate should have Indian nationality.
2) Their age must be between 18-42 yrs on 25.02.11
3) Should have Graduate from any recognize university.
4) The employed person who is working in central govt. /own business/private sector/semi govt. must have follow these term and condition as: a) commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.
b) Pay and allowances and privileges will be same as
regular army officer when embodied for training
and military service.
c) Promotion up to Lt. col. By time scale subject to
fulfilling laid down criteria. Promotion to colonel
and brigadier by selection.
d) officer commissioned in TA infantry may be
called out for military service for longer duration
depending on requirement.
Procedure of selection:-
(For Ex-servicemen)
The candidates are screened by an army H.Q selection board (ASB) held at Addl. Dte. Gen TA, Army H.Q , ‘L’ Block , New Delhi, which is followed by a medical board for successful candidates.
(For civilian)
The candidates are screened by a preliminary interview board (PIB) held at all TA Group Headquarter. Candidates selected by PIB should provide brief BIO-DATA to include details about employment in central govt. /own business/private sector/semi govt. with monthly income from all sources at the time of documentation. Successful candidates at a later stage are then required to further undergo a service selection board and medical board before final selection.
HOW TO APPLY:-
After getting the application form either from Employment News or it can be downloaded for the website from www. indianarmy.nic.in and send it along with a self addressed stamped affixed RS. 12 on it.Two passport size photographs along with application form to the respective TA Group HQ. as per their area.

There is untapped potentials in the North East. Pawan, This entry clearly states (Only Gainfully Employed Nationals). This means that you have to be working in some firm or comapny or should own your own business as this is a part time job so they need people who can earn their livelihood when they are not in army.

Dear Avi, I am really glad to hear about what you said. Though I am not from North East, but I am very confident about whatever you said. As fas as corruption is concern, I think , we should start the process from our side. Follow the rules and dont bribe anybody for anything. Its nice to be proud of institution such as Indian Army. yes you can apply as it only tell us that you must have passed the relevant qualification exam .. and you have passed it and you are further undergoing a PG degree .. so thats OK …
